These terms govern your booking at Llety Bodfor. They are meant to be fair to both sides and to leave nothing nasty in the small print.
Making a booking
A booking is confirmed once we have agreed your dates and taken a deposit of 30% of the total. The balance is due on arrival unless we have agreed otherwise. We will send you written confirmation; please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Prices
Room rates are quoted per room, per night, and include a cooked breakfast for the guests named on the booking. Prices are in pounds sterling. We do not add booking fees or resort charges, because we find them irritating too.
Changing or cancelling
Plans change, and we try to be human about it.
- Cancel more than 7 days before arrival and we refund your deposit in full.
- Cancel within 7 days and we keep the deposit, since the room is hard to re-let at short notice.
- No-shows and same-day cancellations may be charged the first night.
- Need to shorten a stay once you have arrived? We will always try to help, but cannot guarantee a refund for unused nights.
We strongly recommend travel insurance, which covers the cancellations we cannot. If we ever have to cancel — it is rare — you get a full refund of everything paid.
Arrivals and departures
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 10:30am. Tell us your rough arrival time and we will be ready; if a train conspires against you, message ahead and we will work something out, as we live on site.
House rules
None of this should surprise you. The house is entirely non-smoking, vaping included. We ask for quiet between 10:30pm and 7:30am, out of respect for the other rooms. The number of guests in a room must not exceed the booking, and well-behaved older children are welcome in the family rooms.
Dogs
We love them, within reason. Dogs are welcome in two of our ground-floor rooms for a small charge, on the understanding that they are not left alone in the room, kept off the beds, and that you clear up after them inside and out. One dog per room as standard; ask us about two.
Damage and liability
We trust you to treat the house as you would your own. Accidental breakages happen and we won't make a drama of them, but we reserve the right to charge for damage beyond fair wear and tear. Please look after your own belongings: we cannot accept liability for personal property, or for vehicles and their contents in the parking area, except where the law makes us responsible. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
If something goes wrong
Tell us, there and then. Most things can be put right on the spot, and we would far rather fix a problem during your stay than read about it afterwards. If we cannot resolve it between us, we will set out your options in writing.
Events beyond our control
We are not liable for failures caused by things genuinely outside our control — severe weather, flooding, loss of power or water, or similar. Where such an event forces a cancellation, we will refund sums paid for the affected nights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.
How we look after the information you give us when booking is set out in our privacy policy. To make or change a booking, please contact us — you will reach us directly.
